Seyoum Bereded-Samuel – President of the Ethiopian ICT Association

We are pleased to welcome Mr. Seyoum Bereded-Samuel, President of the Ethiopian ICT Association as a special guest at the at the 5th Africa Business Forum.

Seyoum Bereded-Samuel has over years of extensive and solid experience in technical project management and consulting work in high-tech multinational in the UK, US and Canada.
Before he moved to Ethiopia in 2006 he has worked for six years at Research In Motion UK/Canada – the Canadian manufacturer of Blackberry Devices and Services as Oracle Database Manager and Engineering Team Lead.
Upon the appointment of the Ethiopian Government, he served as Director General of the Secretariat and lead the organisation of the year-long Ethiopian Millennium Celebration.
In 2008, he joined CIMAC (A San Jose based ERP solution provider) served for two years as its first Regional Managing Director.
In 2010, Seyoum Bereded-Samuel co-founded the private sector based ICT association, ICTET, and was elected as its founding President.
Subsequently, in 2011 he decided to establish his own consultancy firm Consopia Consulting Services Limited – A Market Entry and Government Relations focused consulting business specialising in Technology and Strategy.
Mr Bereded-Samuel works tirelessly to promote ICT in Ethiopia and through the association he co- founded, he has been instrumental in creating a platform that continues to serve as a bridge between the private and public sector.
He has been awarded National and International prizes, medals and certificates for his contribution to the success of grand National Projects
