The Africa Business School (ABS) has certified 118 professional graduates and 19 Post Graduate Diploma certificates at its 15 convocation ceremony held at the International Conference Centre, Abuja, yesterday.

The institute also conferred the Professional Associate Member on 46 graduands, while 35 others were conferred with the Professional Full Members of ABS.

The prestigious Fellows of African Business School, (FABS) was conferred on 19 outstanding members of the society, among whom are: Linus Okorie, leadership builder and the director general of National Sports Commission (NSC), Gbenga Elegbeleye. Another five persons were conferred with the Associate Fellow of African Business School, (AFABS).

While delivering his speech titled: “Leadership, a Panacea for National Transformation”, Okorie, who noted that transformation is not hidden and does not need to be explained as it is obvious as seen in Singapore, urged the graduands to ensure that they develop their God-given talents in order to transform Nigeria.

Speaking at the ceremony, the deputy pro-chancellor of the institution, Dr Anthony Ubani, noted that education has become the bedrock of every society because the technical power of every nation determines its importance.

He, however, stated that tertiary education alone cannot bring all the necessary development as ABS has become the basis that is structured to put a finishing touch to every profession.
